Prof. Gilbert Benhayoun

Born in Rabat, Morocco, December 25, 1941. Married with 3 children. Academic Position: Professor of Economic Science, Director of CEREFI (Center of Regional Economics, of Employment and International Firms) of the Faculty of Applied Economics of the Paul Cézanne University and the chairman of the Aix Group. Competence Themes: Mediterranean Countries' Economics, Regional and Urban Economics, Employment and Salary Economics.

Research and Management Activities

• Director of CEREFI (Center of Regional Economics, of Employment and International Firms) of the Faculty of Applied Economics of the University of Paul Cézanne.

• Participation in the development of Regional Applied planning methods in the case of Morocco, Program MINARÉ.

• Co-responsible of publication with Professor Maurice Catin of the International Review "Région et Développement", published by Editions L'Harmattan, Paris, classified at the Journal of Economic Literature.

• Co-responsible of publication with Professor Maurice Catin and Professor Bernard Planque of the Collection "Emploi, Industrie et Territoire", published by Editions L'Harmattan, Paris.

• Chairman of the Aix Group since 2002.

• Visiting Professor at Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva, Israel.

• Responsible for the Training Courses for Executives from the Governorate of Khan-Younis (Palestinian Authority) since 1999.
